The Move Room: Best Movements For Growing Brains

We are joined by The Move Room today for a brilliant Chat on all things brain and movement for our little people.

As we know in Chiropractic, when our brains are appropriately stimulated and with good clarity in the nervous system – we see sequential movement development in children. This skill continues on into our lives as we learn new tasks, create movement patterns or even recover from potentially drastic events such as illness or injury.

The ability of our brain to grow and develop is an innate function, and it requires a clear nervous system along with appropriate stimulation to do so optimally.

Caroline and Esmie share with us some powerful movement patterns and tips, how to support young children, signs to watch for, fun activities at home and all about the brain and movement development.

We loved this Chat and are sure you will enjoy listening to it too

Takeaways

Movement plays a crucial role in a child’s brain and body development, including balance, coordination, and spatial awareness.

Active play and physical activities promote movement, well-being, and the development of gross motor and fine motor skills.

Parents should find a balance between screen time and active play, and provide opportunities for unstructured play and exploration.

Being a role model for active living and involving children in everyday activities can support their movement development.
